Welcome to Creativos!

We are a bilingual community based on a multi-cultural thinking approach which is completed with values. We know how important it is to learn a second language nowadays –especially English! We are continually looking for new teaching & learning trends and approaches to make this process easier and enjoyable. Our methodology is based on Stephen Krashen’s Theory of Second Language’s Acquisition Premises.

According to Krashen, «Acquisition requires meaningful interaction in the target language – natural communication – in which speakers are concerned not with the form of their utterances but with the messages they are conveying and understanding.» Thus, English is spoken anywhere and everywhere at school! We encourage our students to use language in meaningful ways.

Dès la 4e année, nos élèves se lancent dans la grande aventure de connaître la langue de Victor Hugo.

Our method is based on the development of five skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening and thinking. We develop these skills through different subject areas:

Certified Qualification
As part of the progress from elementary though mastery, our students have access to a certified qualification of achievement and participation in the English language. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is the guideline we use to assess the achievements of English language learners, as it is an internationally recognized standard.
Writing workshop
Making students aware of their own mistakes and being able to self-correct it’s a huge skill that they’ll use later on. Students are expected to work on a writing workshop 3 times a year, this happens during a whole week where they explore the different aspects of an essay.

Students improve basic writing aspects like spelling and grammar, and develop critical thinking skills while they draft their thoughts.
Family Reading
It is extremely important for children to see their parents get involved in their learning and share educational activities outside of the classroom. Every three months a story is sent home for students to read with their family for two weeks, then they must present a special project about their story.
Tell me about
Once a year every student must prepare an oral presentation about a personal theme they would like to share to their class. A free theme allows the student to get emotionally involved and twice as committed, they practice speaking in front of an audience which makes them more confident! In higher grades we aim for fluency and pronunciation.
Globetrotters
Having students who are empathetic to other cultures is part of our foundations. Every classroom is assigned a country in which they study every month, at the end of the year we have a global presentation where parents are invited to participate.

The Oxford Tutorial College Certificate identifies the language skills that the learner currently has.

All grades are split into three main levels, starting with basic users, which includes A1 beginner level and A2 upper basic level. It then continues through to learners becoming independent users, including a B1 intermediate level and a B2 upper intermediate level. Finally, there is the proficient level, which consists of C1 advanced level, and C2, which is mastery. The Oxford TCC assesses all areas of language learning, including reading and listening comprehension, use of English, speaking and writing.
